Patricia Chapin, RPH, has been working at Burton Creek Pharmacy since she received her pharmacy license in 1982. She is a native of West Plains, the daughter of Ray and Eunice Cannon, and left West Plains only long enough to get her pharmacy degree from St. Louis College of Pharmacy. Anyone who was acquainted with Ray Cannon knows that Patricia grew up around horses: Missouri Fox Trotters were a huge part of her childhood. She married Roy Chapin, also native to the area, in 1982. It was then that she gave up horses for dairy and beef cattle. She and Roy have two daughters, Cathy and Beth. Their home is on a dairy farm south of West Plains.
Patricia enjoys coming to work every day. She believes that pharmacy is an ever-changing profession and that there is something to learn each day. She does her best to stay current with new medications and to keep watch on upcoming new therapies. She has seen a great many changes in pharmacy since she first began; a lot of the customers she sees in the pharmacy have been her patients since she first started at Burton Creek. Patricia says that they have become her extended family and she enjoys seeing them each time they visit the pharmacy. She also looks forward to meeting new customers each day.
